The Football Team lost 42-37 to the Cortland Red Dragons on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Growney Stadium.

Freshman quarterback Hunter Walsh completed 30 passes for 397 yards and a touchdown, while Sophomore running back Dahmir Pross found the end zone three times. Senior Receiver Will Blake added a receiving touchdown for the Cardinals late in the second quarter.

Fisher falls to 4-4 overall (1-3 in the Empire 8).

Field Hockey
Field Hockey clinched the Empire 8 Regular Season Championship with a 4-0 win against the Washington and Jefferson Predators at Growney Stadium.

Lindsay Scott had two goals and one assist while Jess Snyder had one assist for the Cardinals. Bre Socker continued her stellar Junior campaign scoring one goal, which increased her season total to 24.

With the victory, the Cardinals improve to 13-4 overall (6-0 in the Empire 8.)

Men’s Soccer
Men’s soccer drew Elmira College 1-1 in an Empire 8 contest on Saturday, Oct. 26, At Elmira. Justin Bonetto scored the lone goal for the Cardinals, on a loose ball which tied the game at 1-1 late in the 58th minute.

The draw moves the Card’s record to 3-8-3 overall, and they will look forward to their last home game of the season (Senior Day) when they host Alfred College on Saturday, Nov. 2.

Women’s Soccer
Women’s Soccer picked up its third Empire 8 win on the season with a 1-0 victory on the road at the Sage Colleges in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday, Oct. 26. Megan Letta scored an unassisted goal in the 56th minute for her fourth on the season.

The victory puts the Women at .500 overall (6-6-3) on the season, as they head down the road to take on cross-town rival Nazareth College on Saturday, Nov. 2. This match very well could decide who hosts the Empire 8 Championship.

Women’s Tennis
The Women’s Tennis team claimed the program’s first ever Empire 8 Championship last weekend defeating arch rival Nazareth in the championship match.The Women rolled Nazareth, winning every single match they played against them.

The Women will play in the 2019 NCAA Tournament on Monday, May 18 in St. Louis Missouri.

Women’s Volleyball
The Women’s Volleyball team went 2-0 this weekend defeating Elmira College on Friday, Oct. 25, and Hartwick on Saturday, Oct. 26. With the two wins, the Cardinals move their record to 20-8 overall. (7-0 in the Empire 8).

The Cardinals will host the Empire 8 Championship where they will have a first round rematch with the number 4 seed Elmira College on Friday, Nov. 8 at 5:00 pm.
