Fisher has not lost a game since the turn of the new year, as it currently boasts an eight game winning streak and a 6-0 Empire 8 conference record.

Adding to their 2017 win streak, the Cardinals defeated the Hartwick Hawks and Stevens Ducks, 71-65 and 84-63 respectively.  Fisher then continued its Empire 8 dominance with a 102-70 blowout victory over Houghton.

Against Hartwick, four Cardinals scored in double figures, with Ryan Henderson and Alex Sausville leading the way with 14 and 13 points. Jake Haight provided an inside-outside threat as well with his 10 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

The last time these teams met was in the 2016 Empire 8 Conference Championship game which the Hawks prevailed in a back and forth 93-91 victory.

“We saw them walking in wearing the E8 championship shirts and knew that we had to protect home court” said a motivated Jake Haight.

Fisher then handled Stevens 84-63, following behind the performance of Freshman Sammy Robinson. The first year player scored a career high 18 points on a season best 4-of-6 from deep. Fellow freshmen Dennis Hare and James Leone chipped in another 12 and 10 points, and Junior wingman Tyler English added 11 points as well.

The Cardinals have no time for rest with two important conference games upcoming, first with crosstown rival Nazareth on Thursday, and then traveling to play Ithaca on Saturday.
