After you paid the estimated residential tuition cost of $47,770, searching for clothing stores that fit your budget might be a necessity.
There are a few clothing stores in the Rochester area that might make shopping at the thrift store a thing of the past. Getting a nice Friday night outfit on a college student budget might sound better when a 10-20 percent discount is applied.
Several clothing stores located at Eastview Mall on Pittsford Victor Road apply such discounts for students:
- Eddie Bauer*
- Banana Republic*
- Charlotte Russe*
- Necessary Clothing
- Sam’s Club
- Eastern Mountain Sports
- Ralph Lauren Rugby
- Sally Beauty ( In Commerce Dr Plaza near Walmart)
- Juicy Couture
- The Limited
- Kate Spade
- Club Monaco

Although each store accepts student discounts, certain stipulations apply. Some stores accept discounts only on regular priced items, online only and certain transaction thresholds may apply.
In most cases, a student must present a student ID at check out. Although it might not be as easy as swiping a student ID, swiping a credit card when a discount is applied might make some feel at ease.
Keep in mind that the student discounts that are offered may include companies that don’t necessarily sell clothing items. However, fashion discounts are some of the most utilized by college students along with streaming services.
“I find myself using the discounts for retail companies but more frequently I find it to be more useful or beneficial for multimedia related expenses,” said student Evren Durmaz. “I’ve used the Spotify discount in which you can have a bundle that includes Spotify Premium and a Hulu subscription for just $4.99 a month. Now that’s a deal.”
As a student, there may not be a reason to forgo a shirt you have been eyeing anymore. Student discounts are present for your possible benefit, so take advantage of them when that student tuition bill is still present.
