By Diana Russo, Editor in Chief

After 16 years as the men’s basketball head coach, Rob Kornaker resigned from the position on Oct. 3.

Throughout his career as head coach, Kornacker led the basketball team to seven Empire 8 Conference titles and is responsible for a 318-126 record, nearly .72%.

Kornaker took his first job at Fisher in 1998 as the director of residential life and eventually worked alongside Bob Ward, who at the time was the head basketball coach. When Ward resigned, Kornaker became the third head coach of the men’s basketball team in 2001.

News of a new basketball coach has not surfaced. However, Fisher’s men basketball is scheduled to begin on Oct. 15 and they will face the College of Wooster on Nov. 21.
