The students of Queer(ing) Film in the Women and Gender Studies Department of St. John Fisher College, have published Volume I Issue I of QueerShots, an annual newsletter. “With each issue, we will focus on queer and feminist film and the intersectional issues of gender, sex, sexuality, race, class, and ability that these films draw to our attention, particularly as they impact the LGBTQIA+ community here at Fisher, in Rochester, New York, and beyond,” the abstract reads. The newsletter also contains coverage of the Image Out Film Festival, which has been bringing LGBTQIA+ film to Rochester every October.
