OIT Alert: Blackboard Upgrade Complete

Dear Colleagues, The Blackboard upgrade is complete and all services are available. Please review the attached What’s New in Blackboard document for a listing of new features and current feature enhancements now available through Blackboard. Also attached is the Pre-Semester Prep document containing instructions on copying courses and making them available to students. Additional training sessions on Blackboard will be offered in early January for faculty preparing their spring courses. Please view the list of upcoming training sessions below and register now to reserve a seat. Blackboard Basics Workshop This session will cover the foundational tools within Blackboard, including how to access the tool, navigating your course environment, making courses available, managing users, creating content and assignments and the basics of the grade center. This session is best for new users of Blackboard. * Wednesday, January 7 from 2-3 pm in Lavery Library, L109 > Register Now! Blackboard Advanced Workshop This session will cover more advanced features available within Blackboard, including discussion boards, blogs, wikis, journals, rubrics, tests and other integrations set up in the Blackboard environment.
