Below you will find a few important reminders and updates related to Blackboard.

Summer and Fall Courses Created
You may have noticed that summer and fall courses are now created. These courses are available for you to begin to organize your course materials for each semester. Please remember that these courses are not available to students until you decide to make them available for student access.  

Blackboard Upgrade
The Blackboard system will be upgraded between the spring and summer semester. The system will be unavailable from 12:00 AM the morning of Wednesday, May 16 through Friday, May 18 at 5:00 PM. Please take these dates into consideration as you are planning for any summer courses.

What’s New with the Blackboard Upgrade
Please view the attached What’s New in Blackboard documentation to learn more about the enhancements and new features that we will have following the upgrade.

Pre-Semester Prep Resource
Please view the attached Pre-Semester Prep documentation for specific instructions on the course copy process and how to make your course available to students.

Description: OIT has been made aware of a recent phishing attempt with the email subject “Update”. A Phishing email is one that attempts to trick you into clicking a link and typing in your SJFC username and password, thereby compromising your network credentials. A screenshot of the Phishing email is included below:
